Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road

This toll road connects Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture and Shirakawa-go, Gifu Prefecture. It is open from mid-June to mid-November. Driving along the road, you can see the beautiful scenery of Mt. Hakusan, as well as the local residents' traditional way of life.

JR Kanazawa Station

At JR Kanazawa Station, the entrance to Kanazawa, visitors are welcomed by Tsuzumi-mon Gate and Motenashi Dome.
A rental car or sightseeing taxi is recommended.

Chugu Hot Spring

The hot spring inns located in front of the gate of Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road are known as "secret hot springs" because they are closed in winter. It is possible to come here on a day trip to enjoy the baths. There is also spring water for drinking, which is beneficial for gastrointestinal disorders.

Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road

Ubagataki Waterfall (along White Road)

About 15 min on foot from the Jadani Garden Parking Area. The falls got their name from that fact that they flow in dozens of lines along the rock surface, which looks like an old woman (uba)'s long white hair. Enjoy the footbath in front of the falls while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Fukube Waterfall (along White Road)

With a height of 86m, this is the largest waterfall along the route. When the water level is high, the nearby parking lot is splashed with tremendous impact.
